Eligibillity
  • Sri Lankan resident, Teens age between 13 – 17 years at the time of account opening.
Documents Required
  • Duly completed savings account application.
  • A copy of the birth certificate of the teen / valid Passport of the teen or valid National Identity Card (NIC) of the teen if available.
  • Copy of valid National Identity Card/ valid Driving License/ valid Passport of Parent/Guardian which contains NIC number.
    A copy of a recent utility bill (If the address given to the bank is different from the National Identity Card /Passport/ Driving License).
Terms & Conditions
  • Joint accounts are not allowed to be opened.
  • Passbook shall not be issued.
  • Minimum Initial Deposit LKR 5,000/-
  • Minimum account balance to be maintained – LKR 2,500/-
  • Per day ATM – transaction limit LKR 5,000/- , Daily POS & e-commerce – transaction limit LKR 5,000/-
  • Over the counter cash withdrawals are not allowed.
  • Cargills Bank holds the authority to change, add or revise product features/offers and Terms and Conditions pertaining to
  • the Cargills Teens Savings Account at any given time.
  • All the other general Terms & Conditions and operating processes pertaining to the normal savings will be applied to
  • “SMART TEENS” savings account.
  • The account is subject to any statuary taxes & levies prevailing Inland Revenue regulations.
  • No credit facilities can be granted to/against the teen product.
