A training and encouragement program for local agricultural entrepreneurs from the Nuwara Eliya – Hawa Eliya area was recently held by Cargills Bank under the theme, “A helping hand for the farmer’s life.” The event took place on August 19 at the Sampath Hotel premises in Nuwara Eliya.

During the program, representatives from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the Department of Agriculture, and the Inland Revenue Department, along with Cargills Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Senarath Bandara, and other executive bank officers, provided valuable knowledge. They addressed current issues, new business opportunities, and the strengths of the agricultural entrepreneurs. They also educated them on agricultural loans, investment opportunities, the importance of saving, and the financial literacy needed to uplift their lives through Cargills Bank.
